Variety Characteristics

  • Sunrose Oil Sunflower is a 100% locally bred variety.
  • It has medium height and a strong root system, providing high drought tolerance.
  • Compared to the most sold oil sunflower varieties, it has equal or higher oil content and grain yield.
  • The most suitable planting pattern is 70 cm between rows and 19–23 cm between plants.
  • Sunrose is a medium-early variety with high tolerance to broomrape (Orobanche spp.) and downy mildew.
  • It has high self-pollination ability and does not shed seeds from the head.
  • The fully inclined head provides protection against sunburn and bird damage.
  • It is compatible with Granstar technology and tolerant to this herbicide, without slowing down growth after application.
